Sofa Cave
Peter Swart 24 November 2003
Description
Sofa Cave has three distinct parts to it. The enterance to the cave is a wide shelf, less than 1m high. A tight squeeze under some rather unstable looking boulders leads to an inner chamber. One side of the chamber is water worn, and the other is filled with boulder collapse. This boulder collapse can clearly be seen from above the cave. The final part of the cave is the boudler filled chamber to the north east. The original walls of the grike, prior to the collapse can be seen quite clearly, but entrance to the chamber is very difficult due to the boulder debris from the collapse
